GPU - 2 years old Process - 3 years old CPU - 5 years old RAM - 3 years old Storage - 2 years old Switch 2 (2025) we have Ampere (2020) on a Samsung 10/8nm process (2018) with 8 Cortex A78C (2020) with 12GB LPDDR5X (2021) memory and 256GB of UFS 3.1 (2020) storage. GPU - 5 years old Process - 7 years old CPU - 5 years old RAM - 4 years old Storage - 5 years old It does seem like genuinely this was supposed to come out like a few years ago really, maybe they just couldn't hit the price points. At least looking at this a Switch 3 if it comes out in 2030-something should be using everything that is at least newer that what we have today. And a next-gen console with specs that are definitely BETTER than Blackwell/TSMC 3N/X925/LPDDR6/UFS 4.1 etc…
